Pay it Forward/One of a Million

(Ongoing Event)

Down arrow

It has been a dream come true to fulfill our mission, however we have a lot to do.

We could attempt to request a million dollars from a potential investor, donor or sponsor. Instead, it is our hope to find ONE million people to give us ONE dollar. The idea comes from the father of our co-founder Hank Baskett III.

A friend of the foundation tells a story of meeting a waitress, who after hearing his story of wanting to rescue children from child abuse, gave him her last dollar. He knew her one dollar could begin to change lives. With that thought, we began our campaign to find one million people who would donate one dollar.

It is a simple “Pay It Forward” concept and we are asking for you to BE ONE OF A MILLION.

Hank Baskett, III hosted the inaugural Celebrity Gaems Pro XP Gaming Event on Saturday, February 1st at the Crowne Plaza Times Square in New York City, host city of Super Bowl XLVIII.  Fans enjoyed an afternoon of live gaming with celebrities, athletes, and pro gamers and were able to take away merchandise from this first time event.

“As a former NFL athlete and lifelong gamer, I always dreamed of an event where athletes, fans and gamers could come together and share a common bond: video gaming.

Fans love any chance to interact with their favorite athletes and likewise athletes embrace the opportunity to give back to diehard fans that follow them season to season.  When you add video games into the mix, you find a way to creatively bridge the gap and create the ultimate fan vs. athlete experience.”

GAEMS Donation Campaign

The Griffin Gives Foundation partners with GAEMS, Inc. to refurbish used gaming consoles and donate to children’s hospitals, VA centers, and overseas military members

Hank Baskett, III, former NFL wide receiver and current reality television star, along with Jason McKay, President and CEO of Allplayers.com, were the driving force behind the creation of this program.  “As an avid gamer and active supporter of our military and children’s hospitals, our hope behind this campaign is to provide ailing children and service members with the ability to find a temporary escape from the often stressful world around them.  The physical environment that they may be in doesn’t always lend itself to sitting in front of a TV or computer and these GAEMS units will allow the games to come to them, wherever they may be,” said Baskett.
